We are happy to have the first guest to work remotely from our Farm Lodges Olive for a week. And it's not just a story, it's a story of connection. When we were still living in the Netherlands, June did an internship with Harm and they got in touch that way. A few years later they reconnected through Instagram because Harm noticed that we are here pursuing our dream ''a free and improved life in Portugal''.
Harm has ambitions to establish a pleasant and free work culture with his company. From the vision ''a happy man is at his best'', Harm also wants to offer the possibility of working from abroad for Debo. And yes ... if all you need is a laptop and a good connection, that suddenly becomes a lot more realistic. He reached out and together with June booked his first week from January 8 to 14. We briefly asked Harm what his experience has been;
''Traveling alone always brings some tension with it. You're preoccupied with questions like ''where am I going to end up?'', do they have good connection?, are there nice workplaces? and all those questions were gone when I got here. Had I tested everything right away? No, I didn't. The nice, relaxed atmosphere that the family displays made an immediate impression. I immediately got the feeling; ''it will all work out''. And it was, more than that. The sun rises are great here, wonderful place to feel the first rays of the sun with a ginger shot and a cup of coffee. The remote working is fantastic. The places to work are ideal, from the room, lounge areas or just steps away at a lovely terrace. Also, the location at the foot of the mountain is great, starting every morning with a wonderful hike. I can say with 100% certainty that I and the team are going to come back here.''
